Here are a few frequently asked questions about SnackBox:

Why is the site labeled as "beta"?
We've released the site as a test platform for our future full release.  We want your input to help improve it before then, so please be sure to use our feedback page to send us your thoughts.

What makes a good snack?

• Keep it short!  Ideally no more than 15 minutes to complete.
• Use a storyboard.  Layout how you want your learning expereince to go on a whiteboard or document prior to diving into the LCDS tool.
• Mix it up!  Don't use just video.  Snacks are designed to contain text, slides, games and videos.  Keep your viewer's attention by using more than one of these.
• Keep it clear - in your writing, graphics and videos.   You have a broad audience here, so don't assume your viewers are as familiar with the topics as you.
• Call to action:  At the end of the snack, please include a link to the Microsoft Learning site (http://www.microsoft.com/learning) so people can find additional training.

What size should the thumbnail graphic be?
313x230 pixels, and in JPG format.  Be sure to place it in the Build directory before you compress the folder for upload.

I've uploaded my snack, now what happens?
On upload, the snack will be checked for viruses.  Then the site admins will review it to ensure it will play properly on our platform. You should see it live within 24 hours (weekdays only).
